We have today (April 3rd) signed a non-exclusive worldwide distribution deal for "Oxford Park" with Media Research Inc, of Tokyo - organisers of the Con-Can online film festival. Needless to say, we're very pleased that our film is getting such recognition.

The film will also be shown once more on the UK's Propeller TV channel beginning tonight.

Dear friends and fans of Trillo & Suede,

Last night's Oscar for Best Live Action Short Film went to...Oxford Park? No, it actually went to West Bank Story. But both films screened last year at many of the same film festivals. At the Bethel Film Festival in Ct. they played back-to-back on the same program. I attended that screening, and the audience response to Oxford Park was quite competitive to theirs. (He means quite a few people liked our film better - ian) There are all kinds of rules and roadblocks to entering even a short film into competition for an Academy Award, and we did not bother attempting to do it. But had we entered Oxford Park...who knows?

If you have not yet seen Oxford Park, here is the link to the *free* download page on our website:

You can also download on this page our mini-documentary, Two Days in January - the Making of Oxford Park. And click on the Projects page to download our New York promo video for the Trillo & Suede film and tv project, as well as an outtakes video. All downloads are *free* on our website.

Attn: MOVIE MOGUL WANNABES! We have several feature film scripts ready to shoot, and we are currently in the process of raising funds to produce at least one of them. If you like our short - Oxford Park - and might be interested in investing in a Trillo & Suede feature film - please contact my partner, Ian Lewis, to discuss it: ian@farnfilm.com.
Ventriloquially yours,

Jonathan

We've just heard that "Oxford Park" has been accepted for the prestigious International Festival of Cinema and Technology (www.ifct.org), which tours a number of major cities during the year (in 2006, the festival visited New York, LA, Orlando, and London).

The organisers said:
Your film was one of the best candidates that were submitted for this year.

Watch this space for more...

Dear friends and fans of Trillo & Suede,

My partner, Sam Suede, has set up his own web page devoted to the Trillo & Suede project. Here is the link:
http://www.myspace.com/samsuede
This site provides Sam's own take and perspective on our film projects, as well as the latest news. It is a fun addition to our main site, http://trillandsuede.com.

VOTE FOR OXFORD PARK! From now until Jan. 22, 2006, you can watch, review and rate Oxford Park on the Con-Can Film Festival web site from Tokyo, Japan. Click the link under the photo on the home page of our web site,
http://trilloandsuede.com.
Oxford Park is one of just 30 short films chosen from 347 entrants to their festival. You can watch any or all of the 30 films, then rate them and review them. After Jan. 22, the highest-rated film will win a Big Prize.

Some people have had trouble getting their votes recorded on the goofy, funky Con-Can web site. So if your vote doesn't register, please try again. Remember the old phrase that was popular in NYC and Chicago in the 1920's- 40's: "Vote early and often."

Till later,
Jonathan

The screenings were very enthusiastically received by the audiences. Each screening was followed by a Q&A - hosted by Sam, Sarah and me - which were lots of fun, and caused quite a buzz around the festival.
